Jouni K. Seppänen

I am a math & computer nerd, with a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Helsinki and a doctorate in Computer Science from Helsinki University of Technology. I have coauthored some publications. I currently work at ZenRobotics.

I live in Herttoniemi, Helsinki with my wife Elina and my son Otso, who was born in December 2004. Of my hobbies, the most interesting is training students for mathematical olympiads.

Code

I contributed and continue to maintain (as time allows) the PDF backend of Matplotlib, a 2D visualization library in Python. I have written some code related to my research, and some small hacks on my code junkyard.

Miscellaneous

I once wrote a FAQ for the Finnish newsgroup sfnet.atk.tex, but it seems that even the Finnish corner of Usenet has been run over by spammers. It might be useful to Finns using TeX, though.
